“My vision for our company from its inception has always been to strengthen relationships through collaboration and thoughtful strategies that underline, and catapult the objectives of our clients, partners and team members to the very highest level using our collective creative innovation and business foresight.

AOFTHEI remains focused on helping our clients and partners navigate these unprecedented times due to a global pandemic. We have spent the past  several months in conversation with our business partners understanding how the current staffing and travel restrictions have turned their businesses upside down in a way never imagined possible.

This has now become what we call our priority pivot, amongst many in our business. Starting with our VTX, Virtual Tour Experience software and app platform, we were asked if we could reimagine the tours and meeting planning software to become a web based online platform for easy client access, zero need for downloading of apps or software installation. We started there and ended up creating The VTX online complete virtual tour sales and event planning platform with built in audio and video conferencing while allowing control of the tour by the sales team or customer.

Together with our newest products for assisting in the hotel, travel and convention sales process, we have also pivoted our  entire creative content production studios to become a virtual creative agency for our creators and corporate clients, offering the same high quality, conceptual works, original music, video production, script to screen and creative deign tools to meet the new hybrid and virtual meeting demands, while remaining fluid in our design to enter back into the live production arenas when the time comes.

DUANE TORNQUIST

Chief Creative Officer | Co-Founder

Duane Tornquist, the creator of Artists of the Industry, has gathered some of the most talented and diverse people throughout the content development world to build a unique North American based agency centered around his vision for experiential platforms, to include theme and concept creation, storytelling, cinematic visuals, interactive technology and original music scoring and publishing for major brands.

He is first and foremost a husband to the love of his life and the father of two sons and one daughter and makes his home in the Chicago area where AOFTHEI’s studios and corporate headquarters are located.

A deep passion for the arts and business, he has found a way to bring content creation into the modern digital age with virtual and augmented reality, emerging, and immersive technologies, together with emotionally connected sound and visuals for his corporate and entertainment clients, working side by side with some of the world’s best known brands.

Born as a child of the 1970s in Southern, California, a musician, songwriter, producer and a former corporate executive and Chief Marketing Officer with one of North America’s fastest growing events technology companies, Tornquist has built his vision into a reputation for blending his passions and interests into many services and platforms for his clients and partners. Duane started his career working at the world class A&M recording studios as a recording and post production engineer in the late 1980s and early 1990’s before gravitating to live event production and content marketing.

JIM CARLSON

Chief Executive Officer | Co-Founder 

For over 22 years Jim owned and operated one of North America’s most well known event technology firms. After successfully selling his company, Jim became the CEO and Co-Founder of Artists of the Industry with his long-time friend, SVP and former CMO, Duane Tornquist. Jim has always aligned himself top talent and believes in surrounding himself with experience, creativity and likeminded individuals in pursuit of excellence. Once recognized by INC. 500 as one of the fastest growing privately help companies in the United States, Jim believes Extreme Customer Service was the key ingredient for his former success and will be front and center, setting the stage for what is ahead for AOFTHEI and its partners throughout the hospitality and corporate communication industries.

SPENCER STUARD

Vice President | Interactive

Spencer Stuard started his career in the entertainment industry at Disney Consumer Product’s Think Tank doing multimedia product development. He was then recruited to Master Key, a Hollywood based VFX house and later shifted gears to design mobile games at Disney Interactive. He helped design top grossing apps and was responsible for rapid iterative prototyping for Disney’s next mobile titles. Spencer went on to help design the award-winning console game “Oxenfree” and a Virtual Reality title. Stuard saw the potential of VR, AR, and other Realtime technologies to reach much further than just the entertainment industry and is thrilled to help lead A of the I’s interactive division.

BEN FUSCO

Hospitality Specialist

A 40 year hospitality veteran, Fusco recently retired after 32 years with Hilton Worldwide.  He is enjoying spending time with his wife, Jennifer, and his two sons, Dylan, 29 and Tyler, 28.  He is also pursuing and enjoying his passions of music and golf.

From 1984-1995, he held the position of General Manager at several Hilton branded hotels in the Greater Philadelphia area and Orlando, Florida.  From 1995-2004, he served as Hilton’s Area Vice President of the Mid Atlantic Region where he oversaw the daily operations of 25 full service hotels located between North Carolina and Michigan.  In 2004, Ben Fusco and his family relocated to Phoenix, AZ where he served as Hilton’s Area Vice President for full service resorts and hotels for the southwest United States.  His portfolio of 28 properties included many of Hilton’s most iconic assets, including the Arizona Biltmore, the Pointe Hilton Resorts, the Hilton Sedona Resort at Bell Rock the Hilton Anaheim Convention Hotel, LaQuinta/PGA West, the Beverly Hilton, and the Buffalo Thunder Resort.  Additionally, he oversaw Hilton Golf, which represented 27 championship courses in 15 locations in and around the United States.  Throughout his career, he has served on the board of numerous hospitality associations and charitable organizations.

O’CONNOR HARTNETT

Cinematographer 

O’Connor Hartnett is a cinematographer with a passion for emerging visual technology, and it’s through this passion that he has aligned him with Artists of the Industry. Artists of the Industry has a vision to use emerging visual technology to convey information and story in new and unique ways, and O’Connor thrives in the creative problem solving needed in these new, uncharted territories. 


O’Connor’s cinematography has taken him from the plains of Africa to the stages of sold out arenas with billboard topping musicians  – and you’ve probably seen a commercial of his on TV too. From commercial to documentary or virtual reality to traditional cinema, O’Connor is always looking for new ways to help people tell their story.
